How To Work With Resistance
Have you ever had resistance come in and take over?
And the more you resist the stronger it gets?
Resistance has some fancy tactics
Delay
Distract
Avoid
Before you know it, you are consumed by a state of resistance and it feels like there is no way out. This was me recently on a project. The more I tried to push through, the worse it got.
This can happen when we work against resistance.
Some of the advice out there is to ‘white knuckle’ it. Push through. Kick it to the curb. Willpower your way until you get some momentum. Sometimes these tactics can work, but they feel a bit exhausting if you ask me.
What if, instead, you try working with it, by moving with it.
By inviting resistance to dance, you not only see results, but you also get to experience a bit of enjoyment too.

Resistance is simply trying to keep you from changing. It can be a powerful force, but as we know, everything is always changing..
So what if we move with resistance instead?
By moving ‘with’ instead of ‘against’ we can more easily find our way forward.
